
1. Brief IntroductionAn old saying in China tells the unique position of this legendary city: "If you want to see China of 100 years ago, visit Shanghai; China of 500 years ago, Beijing; China of 2000 years ago, Xi'an". Over a period of more than 2000 years, Xi'an was the capital for eleven dynasties. As the cradle of Chinese culture, the city was capital to the first dynasty of China, Xi'an has a great number of precious relics and historical sites. During the Tang dynasty when Xi'an blossomed as the first stop on the Silk Road.
2.Local Culture
The continuous history of Xian has apparently resulted in its magnificent culture. Today's Xian is a world famous tourist city.The culture of Xi'an is inherited from the traditions of one of the world's earliest civilizations. The Guanzhong People were the cultural antecedent of Xi'anese, their cultural features are drawn from the Ten Specialities of Guanzhong People. Another major part of this culture is Eight Great Sights of Chang'an, storied scenic areas in the region. Qinqiang (Voice of Qin) is the oldest and most extensive Chinese Opera of the four major types of Chinese opera.
3.Shopping and Food
Century Ginwa Shopping Mall is located between the ancient Bell tower and Drum tower.It offers cultural connotations as well as high quality, exclusive goods.Supermarkets are numerous in Xian.There are many historical relic shops in Xian, such as Shu Yuanmen (an art street), which is laid out in the style of an ancient street; Xian Antique Market; and Wenbaozhai Tour Shopping Center. You can find Tang tri-colored glazed pottery and replicas of clay figures of warriors and horses, as well as folk handicrafts of paper-cut and cloth art there.
Visitors to Xian must do two things: one is to see the clay figures of terra cotta warriors and horses. The other is to taste Yang Rou Pao Mo (a soup dish that involves breaking wheat flour flat bread into a bowl and adding a delicious mutton stock),the most famous local food you can enjoy in Xi’an.

You can’t miss Tang Dynasty Show.The Tang Dynasty is regarded as the most progressive and prosperous era in the days of Imperial China and its music and dance symbolize the glory and splendor of Chinese civilization. The Tang Dynasty Theatre Restaurant is located at No. 75 Chang'an Road. Here you will enjoy music played on ancient Chinese instruments such as the Pi Pa, the Rang, Gu Zheng, Erhu, Yanquin, Dizi, Sheng, Pai Xiao, 24 tone Bronze bell chimes, Suo Na and a group of percussion instruments.It will be a memorial experience in your tour.
5.Transportation
Xi’an airport is located 50 km (about 31 miles) northwest of downtown Xi'an in Xianyang, a neighboring city. It is Ranked as the fourth most frequented airport in China. Xianyang International Airport (XIY) is home to many daily flights from almost every major Chinese destination and other countries.The railway and bus system are convenient,too.

Warm and semi-humid continental monsoon climate
Xi’an experiences all four seasons,hot and rainy in summer,dry and a little cold in winter.The average temperature is 13.0~13.4℃,in summer is 25~26.6℃,in winter is-0.4~0.9℃.

Terracotta Worriors and Horses
The vaults containing Qin Shihuang`s Terracotta Army are located just outside Xian. This army of more than 6,000 life size terracotta warriors, with horses and chariots lined up facing east and ready for battle, is one of the world's most remarkable archaeological finds.The terracotta warriors were made for Qin Shihuang (259-210BC), The First Emperor, the army was made to accompany him on his journeys after death
Shaanxi History Museum
Opened to the public in 1992, this modern museum at state level has a collection of 110,000 pieces of historic relics and is rated as one of the best museums in China.
